On the day of surgery, you should relax and not engage in any strenuous activity. The anesthesia usually wear off within 24 hours. You are prescribed drops which you should use 4 times daily. You will be seen in our office (Capital Eye Consultants) the next day. Further instructions are given at this appointment.

The after surgery pain is minimal. The most common complaint after surgery is feeling of grittiness in the eye which resolves within 24 hours. With each passing day the vision becomes clearer and clearer. 

The surgery on the other eye, if it needs surgery, is usually done in 2 weeks.
