ICL
Visian Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) is another option to correct nearsightedness. For certain patients with high myopia or patients who are not eligible for Lasik, ICL is a good option. ICL is a small lens, which is inserted into the eye behind the iris. It is a short procedure and it is reversible. The procedure is performed in our AAAHC approved surgical center with sedation.
We believe it is a great choice, if you don’t qualify for Lasik.
Refractive Lens Exchange
Refractive Lens Exchange is another procedure to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. The lens of the eye is removed and replaced by a lens, which corrects the prescription in your glasses.
Individuals over age of 45 are good candidates for this procedure. It is an outpatient procedure and is performed one eye at a time to ensure accuracy and safety for the patient.
Each individual will need a different procedure to correct his or her eyesight. At our center we perform all modalities of refractive procedures. We will recommend the best option to you after a comprehensive examination.
